Lots Happening in Zone 12 – Come Join the Fun!

Category : News

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season and a great start to the New Year.

For those of you that have been in Zone 12 for a little while, you know we start off the year with lots of activity in the first quarter. That is one of the benefits of living in the Sunshine State!!

Several of the below events have volunteer opportunities. If you are new to volunteering, this would be a wonderful time to sign up and give it a try! It is easy work, no experience necessary, lots of fun, and you will meet many new people!!

In all the below activities, PCA will continue to monitor official websites (CDC, WHO, the State of Florida, and local officials) to adhere to their direction and recommendations on Covid.

ROLEX 24 at Daytona – January 27 – 30

Rolex is the start of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. Volunteering consists of working in the PCA Car Corral by welcoming people or directing people where to park. Both roles are easy! The tent is open to all Porsche owners and their guests. The PCA Car Corral is located at Turn 5 (AKA “The Kink”). There are volunteer shifts available Friday, January 28, Saturday, January 29, and Sunday, January 30. Please email me if you can help out (oneporschegirl@gmail.com).  In your email, let me know what day(s) work best for you to volunteer. Porsche Corral tickets are sold out, but you can still purchase tickets to the Rolex here: Rolex 24 At DAYTONA – Daytona International Speedway

48 Hours at Sebring – February 3 – 6

The 48 Hours at Sebring is the first PCA Club Race of the year, and one of the largest PCA Club Races in North America. Suncoast and Gold Coast Regions partner together to put on this fantastic race. The PCA Club Races are run totally by volunteers, and it takes quite a few people to put on such a large event. If you would like to check out the action and help out for a few hours, you can register to volunteer here: 48 Hours at Sebring. To read more about the various positions available for volunteering: 48 Hours at Sebring.

Want a little more information? More information is available on their website: 48 Hours at Sebring. There will also be an Advanced Solo DE during the weekend. On Saturday February 5, there will be an Autocross and more information is available on the above website. Registration is still open and spots available!

PCA’s Werks Reunion at Amelia Island – March 4

Werks Reunion is a wonderful place to gather with your Porsche friends (and make some new ones!). There is usually a large array of Porsches – from rare classics to current models and everything in between!! If you are just spectating, there is no need to register. If you are interested in parking in the Porsche Corral or entering your car in the Porsche Judged Field here is the link: Werks Reunion .  This link will also give additional information about Werks Reunion.
