Rolex 24 – Thank You PCA Corral Volunteers!

Category : News

Hi, Rolex Volunteers!

I just wanted to say thanks again for giving your time and efforts to make this year’s PCA Corral at the Rolex 24 so efficient, welcoming and fun! So many people came up to us and said thanks for our hospitality and that they really had a great time. You all made Zone 12 look as good as we already know it is, and your help was very much appreciated!

Some of you did multiple shifts – or multiple days! You are all such good representatives of what PCA is all about, and I certainly hope you all had a lot of fun as well. Please, if you notice I left anyone off this chain, pass this along to them as well (I didn’t have everyone’s email).

For next year, we’re considering streamlining the process more to ensure all Regions are less burdened with logistics, so stay tuned for info later this year. And if you have any specific suggestions for improvement, please let me know!

Again – thanks so much for all you do! And I hope to see a lot of you at the Sebring 12 Hours in March (please email me if you’d like to help out at the Porscheplatz)!

I’ll see a lot of you at the Sebring 48 this weekend.

Much appreciation,

I’ve worked the tent here and Sebring and a couple other events so I’m appreciative of the efforts the volunteers give. I was more than a little surprised/shocked that when I (and later my PCA kids) signed in Friday they did not require or even ask for my PCA credentials, and in fact later talked to a nice guy and again on Sunday – with the wrist tag – who was not an owner or member.

Pete, thanks for visiting the Corral! I hope you had fun while you were there. As you know, we are all Volunteers and sometimes things either get too hectic or people simply forget to ask for membership proof. The “rule” is to ask for membership cards or keys, but none of this is life or death. While I was at the registration table, they were asking for proof, so you may have just been there at an unusual time. Also, people can bring guests and they do not have to be members or owners.

I hope you’ll volunteer at the Sebring 12-Hour Porscheplatz, as well as at Rolex 2019.

    Have a great weekend!
