48 Hours at Sebring Club Race/DE: Jan 31-Feb 3, 2019
Category : News
We just had our very successful and fun OktoberFast Club Race/DE at Daytona, and just around the corner is our next great Club Race/DE – the 48 Hours at Sebring! In Zone 12, we’re very lucky to have these two fantastic PCA Club Racing events, book-ending each year’s race calendar. OktoberFast 2019 will be October 25 – 27, so plan to be there as well.
Thanks to Suncoast and Gold Coast Regions for expertly planning another great 48 Hours at Sebring for 2019. This is the first race of the season, with Club Racers from all over North America. Visit the 48 Hours site for complete details.
Advanced Solo DE registration opens next Monday, December 10, at ClubRegistration.net. If you have any driving requirement-type questions, please contact Amy Riches at fastgt3@gmail.com. Any general questions may be directed to Dennis Wojcik, at sebringclubrace@yahoo.com.
Please plan to come out to watch the exciting races and enjoy the festive weekend. And while you’re there, please Volunteer to help us out:
- Learn all about Volunteering at the 48
- Read descriptions about the various opportunities to Volunteer
- Then, it’s easy to sign up
- If you have any questions, please contact Dave Herndon (Suncoast Region) at davidh2310@gmail.com or Paul Raben (Gold Coast Region) at praben356@gamil.com
Also during the 48 weekend, there’s an Autocross on Saturday, February 2 (register at ClubRegistration.net).
Another date to add to your February calendar: the next Tire Rack Street Survival will be held at Sebring on Saturday, February 23. The Tire Rack Street Survival school is a safe teen driving program, designed to go beyond today’s required driver education and give teens the driving tools and hands-on experience they need to become safer, smarter drivers.
Registration is already open, and the class will be limited to 36. Full details about participating, Volunteering or being an Instructor will be available soon.
As we wind down 2018 and start into December, I hope to meet a lot of you at our Regions’ Holiday parties! Sonnenschein Region started it off right with a wonderful event this past Saturday in Alabama, with almost 60 members in attendance (almost half the Region’s primary members!).
Wishing you all a happy start to the holiday season. Please be on the lookout for other fun Zone news before the end of the year.
