Zone 12: OktoberFast at Daytona Recap

Another great Zone 12 OktoberFast Club Race at Daytona is in the books, and it was a wonderful weekend – weather and all! It’s always fun to have the Daytona International Speedway and all its amenities as our own PCA playground, and we mere mortals again had the privilege to drive the track to raise money for charity. As with all of our events, we couldn’t put it on without our Volunteers.

We’ll start planning for next year’s event soon (OktoberFast is always in late October). So, if you’d like to get involved and participate in the planning and execution, please let me know now. The event only lasts a weekend, but the following year’s planning begins almost as soon as the current event is over.

This was our 13^th OktoberFast, and some of the Committee members have been involved from the start. Thanks again to everyone who volunteered this year to make things happen, from registration and tech, to getting the cars on the grid and on track, and everything else in between – we couldn’t do it without you, and we appreciate your time and dedication.

The OktoberFast Committee put in a lot of hours and year-long effort to make this a great event, and last weekend we all enjoyed the camaraderie and fun that IS OktoberFast at Daytona.
