Oktoberfast is just around the corner! This is Zone 12’s other Club Race… (the first being the 48 hours of Sebring by Suncoast/Gold Coast regions) and will be held on October 27-29 at Daytona International Speedway. It has all the activities you have come to expect …an Autocross, a Driver Education (DE) for experienced advanced solo/Instructors, Club Race and GT4 Clubsport final race. Registration for all events is open in ClubRegistration.net and there are plenty of DE spots and garages available open!! It’s a great opportunity for you to drive Daytona!
The DE is not limited to Porsches. Drivers must either be a PCA National Instructor, or, have achieved Advanced Solo status with their home region AND have a minimum of four events where PCA Expanded Passing was in use (passing anywhere on the track, including the turns, with a point by). Experience with “expanded passing” with other HPDE organizations (e.g., Chin, Hooked on Driving, etc.) will be acceptable. Looking to still compete, but not quite ready for This track, why not consider the AutoX taking place on 10/28 at the go-cart track. This cart track is big and offers a chance to compete against some of Zone 12’s best Autocrossers.
