In memory of our Zone 12 Secretary and North Florida Region President, Bob Wilson

Category : News

A few words from the new NFL President, Tim Kerns:
It is with profound sadness that I tell you that our very dear friend, and President of North Florida Region PCA, Bob Wilson, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon. We will follow up with further information for Region members as soon as we are made aware.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Christa and her family.

Bob was one of the nicest people I’d ever met in PCA – he always had a warm smile and was willing to selflessly help out any way he could. And he loved all that we did as a Club. He was a great Secretary for the Zone membership, representing the Board very well. He will be missed by so many but always remembered.

President – Bob Wilson

Bob was retired after 25 years working for the National Park Service as an archeologist and museum curator. His first encounter with Porsches occurred when he was 15. On his way to the public pool he would stop by and admire the local pharmacist’s dark brown 356B with that strange metal PCA badge on the back grill. Bob’s first date with his wife, Christa, was at the 1973 Daytona 24 Hours race. Their first Porsche was in 1975 when they bought a 1964 356C.
