How in the world did it get to be March already? I know that I’ve been enjoying the great Florida weather we have been having. All of my non-Florida friends are jealous of us here in the sunshine state because we get to drive our Porsches during the winter months. Hopefully your Porsche has been able to take you on some great drives the past month. Below are just a few of the events that are going on in Zone 12. Check your local Regions website for more events close to home or venture out to another Region for some fun.
I would also like to give a shout out to all of you that came out to volunteer this weekend at Werks. This event was a huge success because of you!!! Thank you so much!!!
12 Hours of Sebring – March 17–March 18 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteers are still needed for the 12 Hours of Sebring. If you are attending this event, please consider helping out for a few hours. Volunteering is super easy and there is no prior experience required!! There are shifts open on Friday March 17 and Saturday March 18. Florida Thoroughbred Region DE – April 1 at The Firm
Have you ever thought about doing a DE, but did not really know how to take the plunge? This is it!! The Florida Thoroughbred Region is hosting a DE at the Firm (Starke Fl) on April 1. Never done a DE before? Instructors are available to help you navigate you and your car through the 1.6 mile track. Cost is just $195 per driver for the one-day event and includes lunch. This is a great event for novices and all Porsche owners (Macon, Cayenne and Panamera’s along with two doors) are all invited to attend!
Dinner Under the Space Shuttle Atlantis – April 22
Join us for a spectacular dinner under the Space Shuttle Atlantis at the Kennedy Space Center. An amazing opportunity for space buffs! Guests are to arrive by 6:30 pm and will be checked in and go through security before entering the visitor complex and escorted to the Atlantis building. Once inside, we will watch big screen video segments on the NASA Shuttle Program and then enter the exhibit area. Appetizers and cocktails will be served on the 2nd level and a delicious dinner will follow on the first floor directly underneath the Atlantis Shuttle. There will be live entertainment and a silent auction. Admission to this special private event, cocktail reception, dinner, and live entertainment is $175 per person and is open to Porsche Club members and guests.
